We hire people who are good at what they do. But just as important, are a good match for us.
This is your time to shine. Show us who you are and what you can really do.
How can I make sure my application stands out?
Everyone who applies is given the same time and consideration. But there are a few things you can do to ensure your application shines. First, do your research and let us know why you’re interested in joining the band. We love to see cover letters, portfolios, and personal websites as well as CVs/resumes as this gives us a better sense of who you are and what you’re passionate about. Second, pay close attention to our different job descriptions and only apply for the roles you’re truly interested in or that align with your experience.
Can I apply in any other language than English?
We’re a global company, and speaking English is the best way for us to be able to communicate across borders. With this in mind, you’ll need to apply in English and have a good grasp of the language to work here.
I know someone who works at Spotify. Can they refer me?
Sure, reach out to them before you apply. They can submit your details internally, so don’t forget to send them your CV/resume and any other info you think they’ll need.
Can I connect with people who work in the team I want to join?
Yes. We can’t give out Spotifier contact information but please feel free to send them a LinkedIn message and connect with them there.
I want to re-apply for a role - is that OK?
If the role is still open, and it’s been at least six months since your last interview - go ahead. You’re welcome to apply for other open positions too.
How do I apply for an internship?
You’ll find all the information you need, including entry requirements and application timelines, on our Students page.
Does Spotify provide reasonable accommodations during the application process?
Of course! Please do reach out to your recruiter or recruitment coordinator about any additional needs you may have. We’re always happy to help and will do everything we can to accommodate you.
I’ve applied! How long does it take to hear back?
We try to get back to everyone within a few weeks of applying. With more popular roles, this may take a bit longer. So please, bear with us!
Can I check the status of my application?
We can’t give updates, no. But rest assured, we review every application we receive and will let you know either way what the outcome will be as soon as possible.

The interview. Your chance to get to know us. Our chance to get to know you.
I’ve got an interview! What can I expect?
The process usually goes a little something like this. First, you’ll have a video or telephone interview with one of our recruiters - a chat about you, the role, and your background. If all goes well, we’ll invite you for a second interview with one or two members of the team. The final round usually involves meeting multiple band members across the business. Don’t worry - we’ll let you know who they are at every stage, and well before time. If there are multiple interviewers, one will lead and the others will shadow. This approach allows you to meet more people across the business, and get a good feel for things, whilst also letting more band members be part of the interview process. Win-win.
Are you holding virtual interviews whilst everyone works remotely?
We are, yes. We’ve got plenty of tools in place to allow for remote interviews - things like Google Meet and Zoom for video chats, and for the more technical stuff, Coderpad and Mural.
I’ve got a virtual interview - will this impact my chances?
Simply put, it shouldn’t! We understand that interviewing over video chat is far from ideal, so don’t worry, we won’t sweat the small stuff.
Help! I can’t connect to my virtual interview
No worries, we get it. Just let your interviewers know what’s going on. If, for whatever reason, you can’t continue, send an email to everyone cc’d on your interview confirmation. That way we can reschedule for a later time or day.
Can I get feedback on my interview?
We know how important feedback can be for ongoing career development, so we’ll always do our best to provide it when and where we can. There may be some instances where giving detailed feedback just isn’t possible, but we’ll let you know if this is the case.
Most interviews at Spotify are held virtually. We use tools like Google Meet and role-specific tools such as CoderPad when relevant to the work.
How can I prepare for my interview?
Yes, we want you to show us you’re great at what you do. But we’re also considering a few other things: Do your values align with our values? Do you take ownership of your work and take pride in what you deliver? Are you adaptable? Are you collaborative? Are you driven? These are the questions we’ll be asking ourselves as we interview you. Make it easy for us to see how well you answer them.
Does Spotify provide reasonable accommodations during the interview process?
Of course! Please do reach out to your recruiter or recruitment coordinator about any additional needs you may have. We’re always happy to help and will do everything we can to accommodate you.

When will I hear back after my final interview?
We’ll try our best to get back to you within a few days, although this can sometimes take a little longer if multiple candidates are interviewing for the same role. Feel free to follow up with your recruiter after the interview and reach out with any questions you may have.
What kind of compensation package do you offer?
Your recruiter will fill you in on all the exciting details of your individual offer. In the meantime, you can read about our global perks and benefits, right here.
Can I request to work remotely?
Short answer, yes. Our Work From Anywhere Program is designed to empower our people to work where they work best, whether that’s mostly at the office or mostly at home. We’re also flexible when it comes to our people moving locations within their region, as long as it makes sense for your role, you can still collaborate easily with your team and it is somewhere Spotify has an operational presence. You’ll find specific information about how our Work From Anywhere program applies to each role in our job descriptions, and your recruiter will be able to fill you in on the options available to you during the interview process. In the meantime, you can read more about the program here.
What’s it like to work at Spotify?
We’re glad you asked! Read all about life at Spotify on our Benefits and Perks page.
Hmm… I don’t see many entry-level positions. Why’s that?
It may simply be that we have everyone we need in those roles right now. But please do keep checking back. Many of our interns become full-time too, so it’s also worth checking out our internship programs on the Students page.
How do I know if a Spotify email or website is legit?
Sometimes, people create fake emails or websites designed to look like Spotify.
The URL for the Spotify Careers Site is www.lifeatspotify.com and the link for a full-time role at Spotify will begin with https://lifeatspotify.com/jobs or https://jobs.lever.co/spotify. If you click a link that takes you to a page that looks like Spotify or Lever but doesn’t start with this address, it’s a fraudulent page and you should close it. When in doubt, always start at the Spotify Careers Site. Type https://www.lifeatspotify.com into your browser and go from there.
You would never receive an offer letter or an employment contract before starting the interview process. So if you receive one but you haven’t been in contact with a Spotify recruiter, there’s something wrong. Spotify never charges applicants for the opportunity to interview with us.
An email is suspicious if the sender email doesn’t end in "@spotify.com."
Spotify will never ask you to download anything from our emails or ask for personal information over email, such as your:
